OccupationSelf-published poet and children's author

IntroductionI’m a blind vegan poet and children's author, who was born and raised in the shadow of the Black Mountains of Wales, UK, spent some time living in Alberta, Canada, and Hastings, England, UK – returning to Wales in between - and am now back to living in Wales, along with a chinchilla named Mollie, a West Highland White Terrier named Lilie, a Cavapoo named Logan, a Hermann’s Tortoise named Artemis, and my Canadian husband, Kelly. Vegan due to both a love for animals and dairy allergy, as well as an Eclectic Pagan, I would describe myself as a combination of Hermione Granger and Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter books: Hermione’s thirst for knowledge and love of books, combined with Luna’s wandering mind and alternative way of looking at the world. I have a wide variety of interests, designed to exercise both the creative and logical sides of my brain, and dabble in them at random depending on what I feel like doing at any given time, but am most likely to be found playing with my petkids, curled up somewhere with a cup of tea and a book, or trying to keep one step ahead of those pesky typo fairies while writing my own books.
InterestsReading, writing, crafts, Dungeons And Dragons style roleplaying games, music, brainteaser puzzles, movies, baking, history, science, astronomy, astrology, animals, nature, and any others that randomly capture my attention.
Favorite moviesThe Craft, Practical Magic, the Harry Potter movies, The Hobbit movies, most Disney movies, Matilda, A Little Princess, Santa Claus - The Movie, Annie, Homeward Bound, Spy Kids, and many more.
Favorite musicCountry, oldies, rock/pop, jazz, classical, sounds of nature.
Favorite booksA Little Princess, anything by Roald Dahl, the Harry Potter books, The Hobbit, anything by David Estes, Michelle Paver's books, and too many more to list.

What spells can you cast with magic markers?

Words have a magic all their own, and if you use the right ones, you can weave any kind of spell over your reader you choose.
