But those of us who live here know that Los Angeles is blessed with great mountains, beaches, lakes and forests. This makes for a fantastic outdoor playground. I should know. For several years, I have worked as an outdoor and travel writer for the Los Angeles Times. Yeah, I was paid to play in the outdoors.
