| Introduction | Jeannie Barker, like all saints is a work in progress. Her grand ambition is to one day be a completely mature Christian. By her own reckoning, she perceives herself as a spiritual adolescent or very young adult. She has been a believer since the age of 18 and has been often heard to quip, that the Lord saved her just in time, i.e. when her children were very young. Her greatest accomplishment is surviving the childrearing process...still saved, and relatively sane. To date, she is the proud mother of six: Mawiah (Ayo), Shabaka [Nitasha], Julie [Chase] & Jill, as well as the ecstatic grandmother of three. She has had many position through out her professional life, which has spanned a number of industries. Presently, she is a Business Analyst/Project Manager for the IS department of a multi-National Law firm. Currently, she makes her home in the Chicago land area, but is always looking to the Lord for the next great adventure. |
