| Introduction | I created this blog when at 40 years old, I went for my baseline mammo + was diagnosed with invasive ductal breast cancer. "Why me?" Well, why not me? Or the person next to me? Instead of questioning why, I asked, How? How can I take this situation and see the positive in it? With this blog I was able to keep my friends and family informed of my health as well as share the wealth of information I gathered with others in need of great care...And to let people know, Hey, this can happen to you...so pay attention! Five years later at 45 I was told the breast cancer had metastasized to my lungs (and eventually my liver and hip). There's a lot more info to gather and a long road ahead to document. The decision making process with cancer can be difficult, but perhaps I can shed some light on + bring some tumor humor to what can be a nerve wracking time for myself + others.
