| Introduction | My name is Justin Ellis and I am a musician in the Triangle NC music scene. I am the lead singer and bassist for the pop-rock band The Color Exchange, and before that Clockwork Kids. I additionally play drums for the shoegaze group An Occasion For Balloons, bass for the Jason Merritt Araleigh Project, and occasionally perform solo. I have been an extremely active member of the local music community, have booked tours for my own bands extensively, and above all love to listen to music. I launched this blog years ago to write about some of my favorite music, and I have decided to bring it back from its far-too-long hibernation. Here's how it works; I pick an album that I feel like writing about. Sometimes they're new, sometimes they're thirty years old, sometimes they're by U2, sometimes they're by some band I see live randomly while out on the town. My goal and purpose is to try and put into words how I feel about certain music, and I hope you'll enjoy reading them as much as I did writing them. On tour/putting out a record and need some press? Send me your stuff! |
