| Introduction | I have always loved products. Anything featured in a magazine or advertised on TV immediately becomes an object of lust. I see Eva Longoria batting those luscious lashes in my direction and that mascara has to be mine. Of course, more often than not, once the shiny packaging is removed and my new sure-fire-miracle-maker applied the results are disappointing/ unsatisfactory/ downright shocking. I feel disheartened and berate the make-up industry for its dishonesty and myself for my gullibility. I switch on the TV and Kate Moss’s perfectly fanned eye-lashes wink at me. I am a lamb to the slaughter. To remove myself and hopefully others like me (I refuse to believe I am alone here) from this vicious cycle I am starting this blog. Through trial and error I shall sniff out the hidden gems of the beauty counter and you will never have to feel the dissatisfaction of a wasted purchase again. |
