| Introduction | I love hair. Hair off of sheep, llamas, alpaca, and little goats. Hair from rabbits and even bison. I spend a whole lot of time thinking about and playing with hair. I also love dolls. It was inevitable that eventually the two would collide. I taught myself needle felting from the first poke. This method of soft sculpture uses a barbed needle to enmesh wool fibers together through friction. You basically start with something roughly resembling a cotton ball and mold it by poking it thousands of times. In the last couple of years the art has really taken off but when I started there was not much reference material available so I made up my own methods. I make heirloom quality art dolls, teddies, and animals that are meant to bring smiles and last a lifetime. Here you will find some of my inspiration and the stories behind my characters and get to know a little about me. I recently started selling my art yarn, and you will also get an inside look at the creation of MousePants Woolens and all my spinning adventures. I am hopelessly in love with corespinning and would rather buy beautiful batts than groceries. |

What's the best time you've ever had licking stamps?
I was in the car and my dog was perched with his head between the front seats with his tongue hanging out. I had a bunch of letters to mail so I took a stamp and swiped it on the dog's tongue. He looked a little puzzled. I did it a couple more times before he got pissed off and started growling at me when I came near him with another stamp. Got most of the stamps licked though.
