| Introduction | Don't get me wrong! I like being a Presbyterian and wouldn't be anything else. I just never expected to be one. I worked for 17 years as a full or part time Baptist minister in the Southern Baptist Convention. During those years I worked as a choir director, youth director, associate pastor, and pastor. Although it was not unusual for me to clash with the Baptist status-quo, or not quite fit in with the general Baptist way of thinking, I absolutely, positively, knew without a doubt I would be forever Baptist. But life's circumstances, strife, and struggles brought me to a place where I found myself happily, a Presbyterian... but I admit I was rather reluctant to get here. |
