Introduction In May of 2005 I was diagnosed with a chondrosarcoma of the left femur. I saw six of the top doctors in the field in six months and not one agreed with another on what I should do. It was up to me to decide. Instead of deciding I wrote a one woman show about it called Bone-a-fide: A Tumorous Comedy. That helped. On December 15, 2005, Dr. Healey at MSKCC performed a resect/reimplant with cryosurgery. I've been healing well since then. (Though, I still wish I had gone with the bionic leg option.)
