| Introduction | This blog is written by a real human being, not some plagiarism-fueled AI bullshit generator. I'm a middle aged solo practice lawyer, married with 5 adult and teen children. When we married, my wife and I agreed to share the kitchen and the library. We still fit in the kitchen, but are running out of room in the library. I have been a violinist with the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra since 1996, and play with other local groups. I have writen for the Kern County Bar Association's magazine. I currently teach Wills and Trusts at Kern County College of Law. I enjoy camping, hiking, and obviously reading. The blogs on my list are primarily family and friends, plus a few that I just like to follow. I am also an Exvangelical, having spent time both in Bill Gothard's cult, and in a religious tradition that has become a toxic supremacist political movement. This blog focuses on what I am reading as I continue the process of learning and exploration. I also talk about hiking, music, me, and issues that I care about, particularly toxic religion, patriarchy, and ethical thinking. |
