| Introduction | At one time I was a high fashion model and an Assistant Director of a NY Studio of Stage Arts. My mom taught me to sew and I was aspiring to have my own line of fashion at some future date. Then I met my husband. He is an awesome guitar player who swept me off my feet! We got married and together began a family. My daughter inherited my love for fashion and over the years she would have me sew her designs. Now she has her own family and a blooming Etsy business. I began Nouveau Chic in 2004 as a response to a need for 18th. Century clothing. I began to design my line and supply Michie Tavern in Charlottesville. Since then I have continued making Colonial designs and branching out into other periods as well. |
