| Introduction | The random memories and musings of an atomic flâneur. I am a child of the atomic age, my birth bracketed by the Cuban missile crisis and the end of the Mercury space programme. Until I was 25 I had a nomadic existence, moving from town to town every two years. I lived in Nigeria, France, Austria, the USA, Germany...
