My undergraduate (BS) and MS days at Michigan Tech (MTU), Houghton, MI have really helped forge a bond with the mid-west, I have lived there for half my life! I am an extrovert by nature and love interacting with people especially if there is eccentricity in the air : ) I really admire people who selflessly contribute their time into helping others, especially at a younger age. Why do you think honeydew is the money melon?
Honeydew is the money melon because other melons don't taste as good and are available easily. Honeydew is sweet and rare and that makes the demand and the cost for it go up. The taxation on Honeydew also makes the price appreciate considerably, especially during El Nino cycles when the rains dry up and so do the Honeydew.
