Introduction In 1987 I started working as a volunteer coordinator while based in NYC. It is there I found my career bliss, the powerful energy exhibited by volunteers who desired to make a difference in the fight against HIV/AIDS was beyond inspirational. This translated to my seeking and landing a job with a staffing firm later that year when I returned to Los Angeles. That was 23 years ago and since then I have built a solid foundation in HR and Training/Organization Development. I prefer to interface with all levels within an organization to coach individuals on improving interpersonal skills, organizational effectiveness and communications. With a Masters Degree in Organizational Behavior I emphasize Positive Organizational Change (POC) methods. This includes using techniques such as Appreciative Inquiry, Storytelling, Senseing, Active Listening, Reframing, and Dialogue. In addition to my professional career I am a Register Yoga Instructor (RYT 200), pursing my 500 Certificate Fall of 2013.
Interests organization metrics, storytelling as a communication tool, sensemaking, Joseph Campbell, Carl Jung, quilting, triathlon, dogs, Mission Hills United Church of Christ, making a positive difference in a world where recognition for the authentic self seems difficult to find.
