| Introduction | KAROD is the only organization formed by and working with the differently abled people, at village level, in Kilinochchi, North East Sri Lanka. We have 20 village level volunteers. Each has a definite working area collecting and feeding information about the differently-abled in their villages. They have all undergone training in relation to community-based rehabilitation and the causes of disability. We also have 7 experienced staff in the head office who coordinate and implement programs with the differetnly-abled people of the district. Most of them have had training in NGO management and in sectors connected with disability.
