| Introduction | I started sewing at an early age, around 12. I was inspired by my nanna, a very crafty lady, who could create anything from just a description of what you wanted and most of all, my Textile teacher at school. I have sewn for pleasure, I have sewn to feed my family and now I just sew for the pleasure and rewards it gives me. I have taught many people to sew. In the 80's I taught stretch sewing techniques to adults. I have been involved fashion and sewing, with my own fashion label in childrenswear to wedding dresses. But my passion now is patchwork, applique & quilting and sharing my knowledge with my high school students. This blog is about sharing my knowledge in all areas of the sewing craft as well as my love of cooking, & travels. |
