Introduction In early 1999, I began praying for the Christian teens at a local high school. I soon found God speaking to me about trying to do more than praying for teens, as essential as that will always be. On the very day of the Columbine shootings, April 20th, 1999, I was accepted to work with the ministry to teens called Student Venture. Beginning that fall, I went to dozens of student activities at a high school, and just tried to be everywhere that teens congregated. That first year was one of the most fun and life affirming years of my life. After two years, I was reassigned to work in an office to assist Christian teens and workers nationwide with starting Christian clubs at their schools. On my own time, I soon began to help lead a group of guys at a local middle school after school on Fridays. I enjoyed being with these guys and developed such a burden for middle school students that I purchased my first home just ½ mile from that middle school so that I could give the guys a place to gather with their friends.
