| Introduction | I was born in Rugby in 1963 and now live in the heart of Dunchurch. My family have longstanding links with Rugby’s engineering industry (BTH & GEC) and the Welsh hill farming community. I was educated at the University of Leicester where I graduated with an MBA. I spent the first 20 years of my career working in the financial services sector. After this business career I moved into teaching and lecturing, now working in Northamptonshire teaching business economics. I am married to a community mental health nurse working throughout Rugby. I am a cricket fan following Warwickshire, a longstanding hobby fisherman and a keen supporter of the regional Air Ambulance. Elected to Rugby Borough Council is 2008, I am the longest serving Councillor in this Ward. I have served as Vice-Chairman of the Licensing and Safety Committee, sat on the Planning Committee for 3 years and am now a senior member of the Appeals Committee. I regularly attend all of the Parish Councils in the Ward, offering advice on council and planning matters where appropriate. |
