Introduction	I began my career in early childhood in 1989 in a private child care program. Over the years I have experienced working in a Campus Child Care, Head Start, Private, Nonprofit and a 24 hour program as a teacher and director. I am currently a Child Care Resource and Referral Specialist in Southern Nevada. This involves educating parents, Child Care Providers, providing Respite care for families with special needs children and coaching centers to QRIS (Quality Rating Improvement System) success. I love the unpredictability of my job. Being an advocate for children and families has become my daily work on and off the job. I have a Bachelor's in Child Development from California State University, Fresno. I received my Master's in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood from Concordia University. I am now in the process of pursuing a Doctoral degree in Early Childhood at Walden University.
