Introduction Due to poor TV reception and our refusal to subscribe to Astro, I have more time to return to an 'old-fashioned' pastime - reading books. I grew up with lots of books at home as my older sister was, and still is, an ardent reader. As was my late aunt who lived with us. From my sister's Enid Blytons I went on to my older brother's Hardy Boys and 3 Investigators. Then I followed my sister's path to Mills & Boons but never quite appreciated my late aunt's Agatha Christies. When I moved in with my sister in KL I lapped up her Sidney Sheldon et al best sellers. The reading never actually stopped but tapered off. Husband came along, followed by two boys. For a while it was kid's books WHICH I LOVE - the good ones, that is. It pleases me to say my 17-year-old son is an ardent reader who introduced me to some really good teenage fantasy books and rekindled my interest in the classics. (He's even attempted Voltaire!) My younger son (soon to be 13) is not as serious a reader and loves joke books and Garfield comics. Anyway to cut the story short, reading has returned to my life with a vengeance. As I travel more, books have become a must-have accessory.
Interests Travelling, reading, baking, good company, doing my bit for nature, being a good person.
