| Introduction | I am 33 yrs old, I am married to my best friend since 1997, we met online. We have 2 furry children, the diva- Anu, a beautiful grey tiger stripe, who is 9 yrs old - she unfortunately just lost 5 teeth due to me not paying attention and letting decay and plaque get way out of hand- and then we have a furry terror Boadicea, who just turned 3 yrs old in May, she is a long haired tortoise shell. This blog it has continued to chronicle the weight loss; but it has also helped me to express & explore my feelings about my infertility, the losses of my hopes and dreams of being a parent to living children and through it I was introduced to a community also struggling with the ultimate question-the one that I thought I would never be faced with in 100 years. Living a child-less life which trust me is not by choice it is by biology. But recent events have made me come to believe that a higher power was watching out for my beautiful angels-protecting them from me. That statement is very,very difficult for me to make, but with my past and present psychological issues I really do believe that they are safer anywhere but with me. |
