| Introduction | Samuel Kamuela Kamoe A husband, father, friend and papa (papa Kamoe) Tattoo given by Kavika Kauo On Jan. 26, 2009, the day after I turned 48, I got what I consider my first tattoo. A far cry from the one I gave myself when I was 12, using Indian ink and thread. Why did I wait 36 yrs? It wasn't that I didn't want a tattoo, I just wasn't surrounded by the tattoo culture until I had the opportunity to work with Island Style Tattoo. I got to experience first hand what tattoos meant to those coming to the shop and I wanted to be a part of that culture. I carefully thought out what I wanted and whom I wanted it done by. |
