| Introduction | Our beautiful son, JB, was born on January 10, 2008. He was happy and we thought healthy. At four months old we learned that he had congenital heart defects (Coarctation of the aorta, ASD, bicuspid aortic valve and a missing, blocked or otherwise busted R coronary artery.) He had surgery to repair the coarctation in June 08. As we've struggled to navigate the road of congenital heart disease, we've received so much comfort and guidance from other parents/survivors/heart heroes in the online community. It's my hope that this blog will "comfort others with the comfort we have received." Whatever the trial, illness, sorrow, grief...God is able to bring peace in the midst of the storm. |
