| Introduction | I am a 28yr old woman. I was born with a neuromuscular disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a type of Muscular Dystrophy. In short - it didn't allow my muscles to develop to be strong enough to walk, or lift/push heavy things and therefore I've been in a power wheelchair since I was 3 years old. So far in life, my wheelchair has never stopped me from having a fun-filled, exciting and active life. I plan for the future, but my life doesn't revolve around it, and I sure don't live for tomorrow. I like to live in the moment, so that I can soak up every bit of this crazy life I am living. |
