IntroductionI’m Jeba Singh Samuvel — a Dalit Christian artist, filmmaker, and emerging theologian passionate about justice and liberation. My journey began in Tamil Nadu, where I completed my Bachelor of Divinity through the Church of South India (CSI), Madurai-Ramnad Diocese, in 2015. In 2016, I served as an intern with the Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) in Chiang Mai, Thailand, deepening my commitment to ecumenical witness and social transformation. As a storyteller, I’ve created five short films and three documentaries, using cinema and art to challenge caste-based injustice and amplify marginalized voices. Ordained in the CSI Jaffna Diocese in 2017, I served as Presbyter-in-Charge in Sri Lanka and later as Associate Director of Dalit and Adivasi Concerns at the CSI Synod in 2023. Currently pursuing a Master of Theology in Old Testament Studies at Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, I continue to explore faith, film, and justice. My dream is to become a Dalit film theologian, using modern media to inspire change. This blog is where my art and activism meet — thank you for walking with me.
