Introduction I have been a dedicated figure skating fan for the last 28 years. I am not a skater myself, though I have taken lessons and skate for fun. I was lucky enough to grow up during the epic career of Michelle Kwan, who inspired me with her honesty, joy, good sportsmanship, humility and grace on and off the ice. To this day, she's my favorite skater and role model. I've also been inspired by countless other brilliant skaters that have brought so much enjoyment into my life. Skating at its best imparts an emotion that lingers and teaches life lessons about winning, losing, hard work, tenacity, belief in oneself and passion! I have a degree in Journalism from Penn State. I also have a degree in English and a Master's of Education from Bloomsburg University. I have been a freelance journalist for a number of newspapers, magazines, and University alumni publications for the last 21 years. I love watching sports and am a huge fan of the Olympic Games! I greatly enjoy spending time with friends, family, and my family's cats.
