About me

OccupationSpecial Education Teacher
LocationKarluk, Alaska, United States
IntroductionRural Alaska villages have been our home for the last 12 years. We are moving this school year to the small village of Karluk on Kodiak Island where I will teach. I used to write a weekly column titled, "Tundra Teacher Tales" for the Delta Discovery Newspaper when we lived outside Bethel, Alaska. I have also published a book by the same name available through www.booklocker.com/books/973.html in either paperback or an E-book. Our summers are spent in South Texas - kind of backwards, uh? However, residing in rural Alaska has many benefits if one has adventure in their heart and an open mind. It isn't for everyone, but we plan on continuing this life until I retire. Besides teaching and spending time with my family and friends, one can't help but Think. Inside My Pen in Kip's Corral is a glimpse of my thoughts. Enjoy and comment if you'd like. I will try to write a couple/three times a week...at least. A closing note--- Why Geesko for email? It is my given Cherokee name.
