Introduction	Welcome to Backyard Farm 101. The garden is located in Rothesay, New Brunswick (Hardiness Zone 5b). I recently moved into a home and decided to start a vegetable garden. I have many great memories helping my grandfather in his garden when I was young and hope that his green thumb was genetic. Utilizing your backyard / patio / balcony (whatever the size) is a great way to grow you own organic food. Vegetables that are grown in your garden taste better and are less expensive than the supermarket. Most importantly, you know your vegetables do not contain any pesticides. The goal of this blog is to help other gardens (new and experienced) learn from my trials and tribulations. Follow this blog as I go about starting the gardeners from scratch. Hope you enjoy!
