| Introduction | I came into this world with the name of Edward Jay Leavitt. To friends I am known as Ed or Eddie, but to kin I have always been called Eddie Jay. This blog represents a forum allowing me to disseminate information regarding my battle with a difficult diagnosis -- pancreatic cancer. There will be little, if any, space devoted to dry statistics and unattractive prognosis. I wish to present the joy in life lessons learned as I move forward in life wearing these new glasses of realized mortality, and the corresponding immortality that I have entered into through Jesus. I have known Him, and his propitiation, since I was a young child, as God called me into faith. But it is so precious now, this relationship through faith, that it drives me into each day with hope and peace. Most days that is, some chemo days are not so fine. My sweet bride Vanessa will give testimony about that, bless her heart. Well, I wish grace and peace to all those who read this blog. |
