Melissa EDTL 3030 Chapter Reflection

Introduction	Hello! My name is Melissa. I am a senior and I am majoring in Early Childhood Education. I started my college career as an Environmental Science major, but decided that Education is what I have always really wanted to do. This summer I have been keeping busy with classes, work and teaching Bible School at my church. I love being outside, especially camping. Some of my hobbies include going to college hockey games, hanging out with friends and scrapbooking. In the future, I hope to be teaching a 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade class, but I will take whatever grade I can find a job in. I plan to get the 4th/5th grade endorsement, so I could end up teaching somewhere between preschool and 5th grade. I would rather not teach preschool or kindergarten because I like would like the children to have a little more independence. I want to teach in Ohio, somewhere close to my hometown. I would prefer to teach in a smaller rural or suburban school. I like how you can get to know the students and families better in a smaller school.
