Introduction	I'm just a humble student that's interested by the romance, tragedy, and life of our ever charming Texas. While this is one of my reasons for taking a Texas State and Local government class, I will not reserve that one of my main motives is to be more informed about local politics and also for the sake of accomplishing one of my degree courses. Education is a privilege, and I plan on doing my best to foster my curiosity as this government course is something I'm eager delve into as I try to learn as much about this subject. I hope to become familiar with the workings of Texas government and to understand the past, present, and future of my great state. I identify with the Post-moderns for my political ideology and hold candles to Steven Colbert, Jon Stewart, and my uncle Robert for keeping me interested and aware of national and local government happenings. The only political experiences that I've had are voting for national elections and taking school courses that promote knowledge and awareness. Hopefully by the end of this class my progress on understanding local government and life in general will shine through as I did poorly on both general and political knowledge test.
