| Introduction | The picture at the top of the blog is of my namesake, Cyd Charisse in a scene from "Singing in the Rain". Fitting I think for someone with an interest in cinema of the past and present. I plan to write entertaining and informative movie reviews for my fellow film aficionados. My favourite films and area of interest are cult films,independant,art-house, foreign and off-beat films. I can also be coerced into seeing the odd Hollywood blockbuster or ridiculous comedy, starring the likes of Wil Ferrel or someone of his ilk! A standard movie reviewer, I hope not! I intend to bring to the reader an interesting overview of the films reviewed and some insights into the actors and directors along with some interesting trivia. I hope you enjoy...... |
