Location Dallas, Pennsylvania, United States
Interests My three cats, knitting, cross-stitching, quilting, reading just about anything but especially nonfiction about history of science topics or women's social history, learning from my husband how to play softball, documenting the world around me in pictures, writing poetry, studying biblical commentary (I'm not born again, just never have let go of Catholic school), cooking and baking, sustainable architecture and agriculture, alternative energy, gardening, and working with the awesome teenagers at my school.
Favorite Movies For kitsch Beastmaster or Ladyhawke are old favorites (as is that 80s classic, Red Dawn) but I never get tired of the 1930s children's movies like Little Lord Fauntleroy or The Little Princess with Shirley Temple. I do also have a action film fetish since I love the Die Hard and Lethal Weapon movies, cry during Rambo First Blood Part II (when his girlfriend gets shot in the stream), and always bawl during the Green Berets with John Wayne even though I know its a flagrant war propaganda film.
Favorite Music Lots of 70s, 80s, and 90s dance tunes (Blondie, Gloria Estafan, and Bon Jovi), Martina McBride & the Dixie Chicks for my country fix, and lots and lots of Solas.
Favorite Books The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, all books by Lucy Maud Montgomery, and the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.
