| Introduction | I'm fascinated by neural networks and how they give rise to the behaviours, thoughts, feelings, personalities, etc of us and other animals, but when I started studying them, I didn't know much maths. This was a pain because it seems that almost everyone who explains about them just does so by way of equations and then expects us all to know what that means. Well, now I'm teaching about this stuff in a university, so I thought I'd have a try at sharing what I've learnt in an accessible way while I'm producing lots of materials for my students. |
