Introduction	I am 26 and have recently returned to college after taking a long break trying to figure out what I wanted to "do" with my life. So here I am taking U.S. Govt which I'm sure will benefit and tie in closely with my Criminal Justice degree plan. My first go round in college waaaay back in the early 2000s, I was superduper liberal and aware with what was going on in my country and around the world. At that time, it was hard to stay on top of it all-there was a lot going on. But after having a child (she's an adorable/terrible 2 yr. old), if I'm not watching Sesame Street or reading children's books, I don't expose myself to politics as much as I would like to. Sure I'll turn on some npr or catch the local news, but I'm not very government savvy anymore. My political views have changed a bit overtime. The Political Typeology test placed me as being a Conservative Democrat. Sure, I guess I am, but I'd rather take out the "Conservative" part as to not cause any confusion. I look forward to this class and to having a blog (which makes me feel like I'm actually keeping up with the times!)
