| Introduction | Munwar Shariff is CTO and VP of Business Development at CIGNEX. He has worked as the chief architect and manager of engineering teams for several years in the areas of Open Source Technologies and Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) architecture. For the past 15 years, he has been leading projects in the areas of Enterprise Content Management, Web Applications and mobile applications for customers in the United States, Japan, Germany, and India. He has architected solutions for clients such as Epson, BroadVision, Circuit City, Wal mart, Mitsubishi, and Compaq to name a few. Munwar earned his MS in Digital Electronics and Advanced Communications from REC Surathkal, India. Munwar is the co-author of the book on Plone called Plone Live!
