Introduction a new blog created to provide a place for teenagers who are living with fibromyalgia to connect, talk, share and help each other. Teenagers with fibromyalgia have an extra tough job of convincing family, teachers, friends, and even doctors, that they are truly experiencing the symptoms associated with fibro. They aren’t just lazy, or tired because they stayed out too late, or buried beneath the covers of their bed because they have a test and don’t want to go to school. They are in pain, they are tired beyond the norm, and they are scared. This blog is to help teens rediscover that life is good and fun, even as a 'teenager with fibro". We are looking forward to a growing conversation among anyone affected with or by fibromyalgia, but especially those who are dealing with "TeenFibro" – as a parent, a friend, or as a teen with fibro. ee cummings has said that "It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are." It does take courage, and it takes courage to face fibro head on, but you can do it. We know you can.
