Introduction	I've been a technical writer and manufacturing consultant for the past thirty years. I was based in UK, but spent lots of time overseas. Reports of 20K words plus were common and I have a number of textbooks and management reports published. I was also editor of a technical journal and education advisor for a major industry professinal society. I have been writing since I was very young. When I was a teenager, essays and poetry helped me to win my first overseas trip via a newspaper competition. I returned to creative and article writing in 2006. I have won a couple of competitions and been placed or commended in several more. In March 2012, I gave up the day job in order to write full-time. I am currently writing a novel, set in Russia, where I worked for many years.
