| Introduction | The fact that this class (Texas Government-2306) is a requirement for most students to take is too easy of an answer to the question: Why take this class? For me its a great opportunity to learn more about a subject I've never been strong in. When I find myself in the middle of a political discussion I tend to quietly sit back and absorb the information being thrown around the room instead of getting myself involved and saying something I know very little about. My dad is the one person I have been able to discuss political matters with since he can answer many of my questions and get most of my facts straight. So one thing I am looking forward to in this class is to hear other peoples opinions on different matters regarding Texas government/politics. I've recently had my first opportunity to vote, and I DID. Although I still do not consider myself leaning any particular way at this time because there is still a lot for me to learn. |
