| Introduction | I'm a geezer, just eligible for Medicare. I wrote a humor column for a small-town newspaper for around 8 years until I became a paraplegic. Now I'm bed-bound, so I do a lot of nothing. I've found that pitted olives make an excellent snack and that life is much emptier without a cat or two in it. |
| Interests | Spirituality, Near Death Experiences, cat videos, books, being lazy, meditation or just letting my mind wander except when it wanders into the dark corners of my psyche, my children, laughing, looking through prisms, fighting the ever-encroaching tide of neo-facism in this country, and dark chocolate. |
| Favorite movies | I don't go to the movies anymore, because I'm bed-bound. May someday I'll get to see some in the theater again. |
| Favorite music | Ellis, the Beatles, John Lennon (without Yoko, thankyouverymuch), all oldies from the '50s and '60s, dulcimer music, celtic and Irish folk music, some New Age, folk, rock and roll. No rap, heavy metal or thrash music. I'm clueless about contemporary music so don't even ask. Just don't make me listen to lyrics that sound like they were written by a 2year old, like "Baby oh baby oh baby oh...." |

What reason do you have to believe the earth is flat?
I have yet to reach the horizon, but I have seen its edges in a 360 degree view twice -- once on the Gulf of Mexico in Texas and once in the Middle of Nowhere in Kansas. So I know the edges are there.
