| Introduction | I'm a bit of a hodge-podge, honestly. I write software, fix cars, and build things. I love hiking, camping, and the outdoors in general. I also like lounging in front of the TV and wasting hours on Facebook. I enjoy my Ford superduty pickup just as much as I loved my BMW 325is (two vehicles which could barely be more opposite).
There are some things I believe firmly. When I'm hiking in the mountains of Tennessee, or watching the sun rise thru the mist while camping, I hold no doubt that there is a higher power at work. What does that mean for my life? That I don't have all worked out yet. On the other hand, most everything I read or am told, I view thru the lens of skepticism. Just because someone who gets paid a lot more than I do says it on TV, doesn't make it true. I struggle with much of my own internal conflict and I am deeply flawed, which we all are if we're being honest. But, at the end of the day, I'm just a man. One with diverse interests, a desire to know "why", and a skeptical view of what I see around me. What you'll find here are some ramblings that make it past my "what am I willing to let the world see" filter. |
