| Introduction | I am a 28 year-old woman setting out on the adventure of a lifetime. I am certain there will be beautiful highs and upsetting lows, but that's what life is about. You will always regret the things you did not do much more than the things you did do. In the span of one week, I lost my job, was eating from the food bank, and on top of it, totaled my car. I had been told there was a space for me to live and work in Belize, but honestly, I was slightly reluctant. Moving away from all of your friends family is not an easy decision to make, but the regret of never knowing would have beaten me down into a life a never really wanted. The "practical" life people thought I should be perusing. Do not focus on those expectations others have about your life. Do what you feel is right. You'll know it like it hits you in the face like a brick and then things will start going your way. So take this: follow your dream, no matter what. Quit your job with no money in the bank. Get rid of your car. Sell all the things you don't absolutely need. THEN tell me how free you feel. That's where I am. |
