| Introduction | Not the game show host...but definitely a love connection with nature and humanity. Love of family, health, unselfish people, Ben&Jerrys, biking, recycling, and thinking outside the box. Did I mention effective action to protect inalienable human rights? Originally a High School biology teacher 26 years ago I allowed a volunteer to speak to my students about world hunger. After learning that 42,000 children under the age of five died every DAY as a result of easily preventable malnutrition and infections I changed my career. From a practicing environmentalist to world hunger and global health activist I then learned of the threat of bioterrorism and the increasingly vital need to improve, democratize and strengthen the United Nations. Security is not a function of being well armed or disarming others. It’s a function of justice. Justice is best enforced by a democratically elected body sworn to making laws that best protects everyone’s inalienable human rights. As an avid C-Span junkie and love debate and educating people on the lessons that I believe our founding fathers wanted us to learn and live by. And, I love to dance. |
