| Introduction | I’m influenced by everything I see, hear, do .... my work is therefore a visual record of my life, each image one element of a very large self-portrait. Born and living in Scotland, I’ve spent a third of my life in New Zealand. My work reflects both cultural traditions and the underlying themes are sense of place and identity. My goal is to keep trying stuff, to create works that build on the last one and make me think "that's it!" - whether it says what I meant, sends me back to the drawing board or prompts a new idea. |
