| Introduction | I'm a middle aged mom and IT professional by day, but at night I like to sneak out and see shows. I've been a musician since I was seven, but it's unfortunately always been a backseat role to the rest of my life. Nonetheless, I've taken it quite seriously and have studied classical, jazz, and my true love, blistering rock and roll. I've been a true consumer of all things rock since I was in second grade with my walkman, loading up on cassettes. I've seen a million shows (but you can never really see enough, can you?). I've also had a million performances - everything from poorly planned house parties to Carnegie Hall. I've booked and run sound for shows here in the ATL. I know gear. I know venues. I know music. So, last night my best friend and I decided to start a music blog because, well, why not? There will always be kids at shows, bouncing around and enjoying the novelty of beer, but there are lots of other perspectives on bands, new music, venues, and the scene in general. Mine is among them. |
