| Introduction | Our journey began seven years ago with a desire to start our family. After two plus years of trudging the infertility roller coaster, we turned to adoption. After researching and talking with friends and others who have adopted, China seemed the perfect fit for us. We began our expedition toward Cali in April of 2006 at an adoption seminar put on by America World. It was clear to us from that day forward that this is God’s intended plan for our family. There are so many children, especially little girls, in China left in a market or other public place and put in orphanages just waiting for a chance to be loved, nurtured, and held. Mothers and fathers, without options or finances, are left with no choice but to leave their children. We have prayed from the beginning that Cali would always have a sense of God’s presence and comfort in her life and that she would know that she is valued and loved. |
