| Introduction | Dr. Sameera Aziz, a Saudi media personality and businesswoman based in Jeddah, serves as the Chairperson of the Sameera Aziz Group of Companies. She holds Saudi citizenship and has carved out a niche as one of the pioneer female journalists in Saudi Arabia. Currently holding a PhD in Mass Media and possessing a strong work ethic, she embarked on her career 26 years ago as an Investigative Journalist and Media Person for foreign languages. She was trained by the late Prince Ahmed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz AlSaud, the then-chairperson of the Saudi Research & Marketing Group and the 3rd son of the present Saudi King, breaking barriers in a male-dominated society, and bravely conducting undercover sting operations. She then worked as the senior Intl' Editor at Saudi Gazette, Okaz. While still maintaining her ties with the Saudi Ministry of Media, her entrepreneurial ventures underscore her commitment to her country's advancement and humanitarian causes. A Great Woman Award holder, along with many other honours, she is today widely recognised as a versatile professional, excelling as a journalist, filmmaker, writer, speaker, poet, TV and radio host, cricket figure, and analyst. |
