| Introduction | I am a mother, a teacher, an optimist and a student of life. I am also a former journalist. I entered the business to change people's lives for the better--- but eventually realized that too much value was being placed on the negative (which is not always the media's fault, BTW). Now I try to counter negativity wherever I see it. I don't go through life with blinders on, but I'm not going to allow circumstances to weigh me down either. This blog is about balance.
