Introduction	Karla Proud's lifelong passion for gems, minerals and mining began in Southern California when she was a child. Karla mined gems and gold with her grandfather. What started as a family hobby became her life's work. Karla has mined gems from around the world and has a reputation of distinction in the industry. During that time, Karla owned jewelry stores and designed fine jewelry using gems from her discoveries. Today, Karla has begun her newest endeavor romancing the Oregon Sunstone.
