About me

Introduction	In real life (!), I am actually Ruth Callahan, and I teach in the English Department at Glendale Community College in Arizona. I teach Mythology all by myself (!), and ENG 071 in a Learning Community with my friend Mary Jane Onnen, who teaches Reading 091. Our primary textbook is published by the Southern Povery Law Center, so the students really have a chance to learn a lot about America while they're catching on to grammar and main ideas and the like. Once a year I also get to do an Honors Learning Community with Bob Hubbard. The BobandRuth Show combines an intro to philosophy with modern fiction -- V heavy on the Borges and Kafka! It is probably rather an eccentric class, but it is a favorite!
